The famed chef’s first Japanese restaurant, YOSHI, boasts modern and healthy cuisine created by Chef Takéo Yamasaki, and was rewarded in 2010 with its first Michelin star. In addition, in Spring 2011, the Hotel Métropole will welcome a new restaurant and lounge by the pool from the superstar duo of Joël Robuchon and Karl Lagerfeld.

The location means the Métropole is just slightly off the beaten path, as does its status as an independent, outside the SBM conglomerate that controls the Monte-Carlo casino and many of the hotels. An excellent Riviera-style French restaurant is a must, as there’s so much competition around town; this one just happens to be helmed by a certain Joël Robuchon. Likewise any luxury hotel worth its salt needs a spa of the ESPA’s caliber — here all varieties of relaxation are possible, from purifying rituals to simple poolside cocktails.

A wide range of treatments is available, including a Day Spa Ritual, which is a luxurious and unique experience including a spa cuisine lunch, with access to the Heat Experience, where you can enjoy a sauna or even scented showers.

Original new concept Spa by Market leader ESPA, a haven of tranquility to relax and focus on oneself. Located on 3 floors adjoining the hotel. The Metropole ESPA Monte-Carlo offers 10 treatment rooms including 2 spacious VIP suites, heat experience room, relaxation area, teak sun deck, state of the art changing rooms all decorated in wood, stone and natural materials.

Open from 7:00am to 9:00pm everyday and 8:00am to 8:00pm for Sunday and bank holiday. Preference to hotel guests. Reservations directly with spa or via concierge or guest relations. Fully equipped fitness studio with stairmasters, treadmills, bikes and free weights, all with own TV stations. Open 7:00am to 10:00pm. Outside heated pool and sun lounger area.
